Experimental College

During the hundred year history of Minot State University, there have been efforts within the institution's existence which have faded from memory and have not been commemorated for their contributions to the current constitution of Minot State. One example of this was the creation of the Experimental College at Minot State College. This “college within a college,” which began in the fall of 1971 and ended its mission in the spring of 1975, was an effort at an alternative model of education, which, although short in duration, left a legacy which can be traced to the present.
