In the year 2013, Minot State University will reach its centennial anniversary. The university's legacy is dedicated to providing opportunities for education to those both within the state and beyond.
Though this service has been constant over the last hundred years, the institution itself has expanded beyond its modest origins as Minot State Normal School. To designate these beginnings as nothing more than humble, however, would overlook much of the significance of the Normal School to the legacy of Minot State University.
In commemoration of this legacy, this exhibit focuses on the specific conditions in North Dakota that fostered the establishment and growth of Minot State Normal School.
